Shlok Mukherjee of Kolkata, West Bengal, was named the winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google contest in India on Monday (November 14, 2022), in honour of Children's Day. He is a student of Delhi Public School in New Town, Kolkata and created history through his motivational and intelligent Doodle titled, India on the Center Stage. In his drawing, Shlok expresses his desire for India's scientific achievements to be highlighted.

He said, “In the next 25 years, my India will have scientists develop their own eco-friendly robot for humanity's betterment. India will have regular intergalactical travels from Earth to space. India will develop more in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda, and will get stronger in coming years.”

Google reports that more than 115,000 entries, in response to the theme, were submitted for the contest this year by kids in classes 1 through 10 from more than 100 cities in India. Shlok's Doodle will now be displayed on Google.co.in for 24 hours. Additionally, Google will give Shlok Mukherjee a 5-lakh rupee college scholarship as well as a 2-lakh rupee technology package for his school.

Neena Gupta, an actor, director, producer, and TV personality; Kuriakose Vaisian, editor in chief of Tinkle Comics; Alika Bhat, an artist, and businesswoman; Slayypoint, YouTube Creators; and the Google Doodle team made up this year's Doodle for Google judging panel.

They had the enormous challenge of selecting 20 finalists from all around the country while judging submissions based on artistic excellence, ingenuity, fit with the contest's theme and originality and innovation of approach. Online voting was conducted for the top 20 submissions. Along with the overall winner, four group champions were also selected.
