Sectoral And Thematic Funds See Sharp Inflow Rise In April: AMFI Data
Inflows into the sectoral and thematic category stood at Rs 2,001 crore after falling to Rs 170.09 crore in the month of March.

Actively managed equity mutual funds recorded a Rs 24,269.26-crore inflow during April, lower by 3%, compared to the inflow of Rs 25,082.01 crore recorded in March, as per the monthly data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India.
Net inflow of the mutual fund industry was at Rs 2.76 lakh crore, against an outflow of Rs 1.64 lakh crore the previous month.
ETFs hit a record high in April due to investor rush in search of maneuverability amid volatile trading sentiment, as the funds allow for specific buy and sell prices. Most major equity fund categories, also, saw inflows.
The other ETFs category contributed Rs 19,056.66 crore to the Rs 20,229.45-crore inflow in the Other Schemes category, making it a very close second to the Rs 24,269.26 crore raised by equity mutual funds. Gold ETFs, however, saw a marginal decline.
Actively-Managed Equity Funds
Large-cap funds recorded an inflow of Rs 2,671 crore, against Rs 2,479.31 crore in March. The mid-cap category saw an inflow of Rs 3,314 crore, while the net flows into the category in the preceding month were Rs 3,438.87 crore.
The small-cap funds recorded a net inflow of Rs 4,000 crore, while the net inflows stood at Rs 4,092.12 crore in March.
Flexi-cap funds saw an inflow of Rs 5,542 crore, compared to Rs 5,615 crore inflow in the previous month.

SIP Contribution
The SIP contribution stood 2.7% higher at Rs 26,632 crore in April, compared to Rs 25,926 crore in March 2025. Gross SIP inflows marked a fresh high in April, beating the December 2024 record of Rs 26,459 crore.
Debt Funds
Debt funds recorded an inflow of Rs 2.19 lakh crore in the month of April, against an outflow of Rs 2.02 lakh crore in March.
Overnight funds recorded an outflow of Rs 23,899.98 crore against Rs 30,015.8 crore last month. Liquid funds recorded an inflow of Rs 1.18 lakh crore, compared to Rs 1.33 lakh crore in March.

Hybrid And Passive Funds
Hybrid schemes saw inflows worth Rs 14,247.55 crore, against Rs 946.56 crore outflow recorded in the preceding month. Arbitrage funds reversed their outflows of Rs 2,854.61 crore in the month of March, to witness highest inflows in the category at Rs 11,790.37 crore during April.
In March, Multi Asset Allocation Funds saw the highest inflow of Rs 1,670.34 crore.
In the passive fund category, inflows worth Rs 20,229.45 crore were recorded in April, compared to Rs 14,148.60 crore in March.
New Fund Offerings
Inflows from new fund offers accounted for inflow of Rs 350 crore this month. The inflows accounted by NFOs stood at Rs 4,085 crore in the previous month.
The other schemes category, including index funds and other ETFs, saw the most number of NFO launches in April.
