TVS Motor Company Ltd. saw its monthly sales rise 12 percent in June, largely led by higher scooters sales last month. The Chennai-based automaker sold more than 90,000 scooters, a jump of 34 percent, versus the same period last year. Motorcycle sales also went up by 17.4 percent, last month. Two-wheeler exports grew by 20.8 percent, year-on-year.
The company sold fewer three-wheelers in June, with sales falling 28 percent, compared to the same month last year.

Quarterly Sales Performance
TVS Motor's quarterly sales also rose by 12 percent in the first three months of the current financial year. While two-wheeler sales grew in double digits, the company sold around the same number of three-wheelers, as the same quarter, last year.
The company followed market leader Hero MotoCorp Ltd. to announce a price cut of up to Rs 4,150 per unit, to pass on the benefit of lower taxes under the Goods and Services Tax regime.
The company has also assured ‘suitable assistance' to dealers on their existing stock on July 1 as it was purchased by them at a pre-GST price.
