Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Lose Rs 29,822 Crore In Market Cap
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 73.30 points or 0.33% lower at 22,397.20, while the BSE Sensex closed 200.85 points or 0.27% down at 73,828.91

The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 29,822.1 crore in market valuation on Thursday, with Reliance Industries Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Infosys Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.
RIL's market capitalisation fell Rs 14,073.7 crore to Rs 16.8 lakh crore, while that of Airtel decreased Rs 5,667.4 crore to Rs 9.3 lakh crore. Infosys' market cap decreased Rs 4,920.4 crore to Rs 6.55 lakh crore.
HDFC Bank Ltd. lost Rs 4,703.4 crore, taking its market cap to Rs 13.03 lakh crore. Bajaj Finance Ltd.'s market cap fell Rs 4,298.9 crore to Rs 5.21 lakh crore.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd.'s market cap declined Rs 3,735.9 crore to Rs 5.11 lakh crore, while that of ITC Ltd. fell Rs 1,188.6 crore to 5.14 lakh crore.
State Bank Of India bucked the trend, adding Rs 4,417.7 crore in market cap to Rs 6.49 lakh crore. ICICI Bank Ltd. followed suit, adding Rs 3,317.3 crore to Rs 8.81 lakh crore. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. gained Rs 1,031.2 crore in market cap to Rs 12.7 lakh crore.
RIL retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Bajaj Finance, ITC and HUL.
The benchmark equity indices ended a holiday-shortened week lower on Thursday, with the NSE Nifty 50 extending the fall for the second straight day and the BSE Sensex declining for the fourth day.
The Nifty ended 73.30 points or 0.33% lower at 22,397.20, while the BSE Sensex closed 200.85 points or 0.27% down at 73,828.91 after they opened in the green.
