ITC Ltd., Kalpataru Projects International Ltd., Prataap Snacks Ltd. and Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. are some of the key stocks that will be on investor radar on New Year's Day.

ITC has announced that it will transfer all its shares in hotel units and joint ventures to ITC Hotels, effective from Jan. 1. Kalpataru Projects, SJVN Ltd., Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. and Dynacons Systems Ltd. received new contracts.

The Competition Commission of India allowed the acquisition of a 72.8% stake by Authum Investment and Mahi Madhusudan Kela in Prataap Snacks. The two have made an open offer to buy nearly 26% stake from public shareholders after their initial purchase in September.

Stocks To Watch

  • ITC: The company's entire shares held by the company in hotel units and JV to be transferred to ITC Hotels, effective from Jan. 1.

  • Kalpataru Projects International: The company and its international subsidiaries received orders worth Rs 1,011 crore. Its 2024 order inflows have now exceeded Rs 17,300 crore.

  • Prataap Snacks: The Competition Commission of India approved the proposed acquisition of 72.8% stake in Prataap Snacks by Authum Investment and Mahi Madhusudan Kela.

  • Sun Pharma: The company will sell the unit Sun Pharma Japan Technical Operations to Japan-based Zaza Industrial Holdings.

  • SJVN: The company signed an MoU with Bihar for the development of 1000 MW Hathidah Durgawati pumped storage project and other PSPs in the state.

  • Jupiter Wagons: The company increased stake in arm Jupiter Electric Mobility to 75% from 60%.

  • Dhani Services: The board approved raising of funds up to Rs 406 crore through issue of convertible warrants.

  • Thomas Cook: The company informed of a cyber attack on the company's IT infrastructure and is working with cyber security experts to support investigation and identify the extent of the issue.

  • Indo Tech Transformers: The company received a letter of intent worth Rs 117 crore for supply of 150-MVA transformers.

  • Jagatjit Industries: Hindustan Unilever will discontinue malted milk food products agreement with the company. The company to continue supplying malt extract to HUL.

  • Dynacons Systems: The company received a turnkey data centre IT infrastructure augmentation project of Canara Bank worth Rs 280 crore.
