The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened lower as private bank stocks weighed. Weakness in global equities due to geopolitical tension and US Federal Reserve's caution over price pressure rise in the world's largest economy also affected risk-sentiment in Indian markets.

As of 1:30 p.m. Nifty and Sensex were trading 0.10% down at nearly 24,784 and 0.06% lower at nearly 81,388, respectively.

Gaurav Sharma, associate vice president and head of research (equity, commodity and currency) at Globe Capital, recommends buying these stocks on Thursday.

Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook India Ltd. got a buy rating from Sharma. He suggested to buy the stock at Rs 166 apiece with a target price of Rs 180 and recommends a stop loss at Rs 158 apiece.

All three analysts tracking the company on Bloomberg suggest buying it.

Mphasis

Sharma recommends buying Mphasis Ltd. at Rs 2,697 apiece, with a price target of Rs 2,900 and a stop loss at Rs 2,610 apiece.

Of the 38 analysts tracking the company, 23 suggest buying it, nine recommend holding it, and six have a sell call, according to Bloomberg data.

The Federal Bank

The Federal Bank Ltd. is also among Sharma's 'buy' calls. He suggests buying the stock at Rs 207 apiece, with a target price of Rs 215 apiece and a stop loss at Rs 203 apiece.

Out of 45 analysts tracking the company, 36 have a 'buy' rating, eight suggest holding the stock, and one recommends selling it.
