Stocks That Saw Maximum Change In Target Prices In January

The month of January saw volatility coming back to the equity markets, with the India Volatility Index, or VIX, gaining more than 25 percent.

While the Nifty 50 Index managed to gain nearly 5 percent, it was the Nifty IT Index which topped the sectoral gainers, rising more than 11 percent. Nifty Realty was the top loser with a fall of 3.3 percent.

There were as many as 396 stocks whose target prices were being tracked by five or more analysts as of January end, according to Bloomberg data. Out of these, analysts upgraded target prices for 70.5 percent of the stocks, while 17.4 percent were downgraded. No change in target price was recorded for 12.1-percent of 396 stocks.
