Stock Market LIVE: Gold, Silver Could Extend Recovery If Crude Keeps Softening, Yields Stay Lower: Ashish Rajodiya
Softer crude is easing inflation worries, and an AI-linked equity selloff has pulled Treasury yields lower, which together are giving bullion some room after last week’s volatility. Markets now price a Fed hold at the October 27–28 meeting as the clear base case, so the focus shifts to the tone of the statement and the next round of inflation data. If crude keeps softening and yields stay lower, gold and silver could extend their recovery, while a renewed oil spike or a hawkish signal from the Fed would put the gains at risk, said Ashish Rajodiya, Head of Commodities, PL Capital.

Indian stock market valuations have eased since September 2024, while earnings and credit growth are gaining momentum. However, global uncertainties and high crude oil prices could keep markets volatile in the near term, according to Bajaj Asset Management.
The Nifty 50’s 12-month forward price-to-earnings (P/E) multiple fell 31%, from 24.8x to 17.2x by September 2026. The Nifty Midcap 150 declined 36%, from 35.6x to 22.8x, while the Nifty Small cap 250 eased 7%, from 25.0x to 23.2x.
India’s market capitalisation-to-GDP ratio is estimated at 122% for FY27, below its September 2024 high of 150%. Yet earnings delivery remains crucial for market performance.
“Valuation multiples have eased from recent highs, but the market capitalisation-to-GDP ratio remains elevated. Sustained earnings growth will be important for market performance ahead,” said Sorbh Gupta, Head - Equity, Bajaj AMC.
The gap between prices and earnings expectations is also notable: the Nifty 50 was down 8.09% year-on-year in September 2026, even as its forward 12-month earnings per share (EPS) estimate rose 9.62%.

Stock Market LIVE: Where Are Gold Prices Headed?
As India celebrates Dussehra, 24-karat gold is trading near Rs 1.48 lakh per 10 grams after cooling over 6% last month from its record highs.
What has changed this festive season is not the Indian household’s love for gold, but how people are buying it. Families are keeping their festive rupee budgets steady even if it means taking home lighter jewellery, while a growing share of money is moving into gold coins, bars, and exchange-traded funds. That shift matters because festive buying is turning from pure ornament shopping into disciplined wealth protection. Going forward, high US interest rates will cap any runaway rally, keeping gold within a plus or minus 5% range near term. This Dussehra, buyers are treating recent price dips not as a warning, but as an entry point, said Rajeev Sharan, Head of Research, Brickwork Ratings.

Stock Market LIVE: Receding AI Euphoria, Cooling US Bond Yields Key Positive Catalysts For India: ICICI Securities
US bond yields dropped sharply despite the higher-than-expected inflation reading.
According to ICICI Securities’, the shrinkage stems from the retreating euphoria in AI stocks, possibly inducing a cooling in their bond market borrowings while also attracting buyers at higher bond yields. The brokerage firm believes both these events bode well for Indian equities, as a compression in US yields alleviates mounting pressure from a rising ‘risk-free rate’, and a tempering of the AI euphoria defuses the relative attractiveness of AI stocks vs. the Nifty 50.
Separately, the growth outlook for India has gained unanimous upgrades from global agencies as well as the RBI. Also, the INR has appreciated from its recent lows, spurred by RBI measures, while the IDBI stake sale and progressive comments on capital market taxes by India’s Finance Minister serve as additional positive factors, it added.

Investing is an important part of long-term wealth creation, but if you have outstanding loans or credit card dues, you may need to rethink where your money should go first. When the interest you pay on debt is higher than the returns you could earn on investments, clearing your dues may be the more financially sensible choice.
The decision, however, depends on the type of debt you have, its interest rate, your financial stability and how soon you need the money.
Stock Market LIVE: Nifty 50’s PEG Ratio Nearing Attractive Zone Of 1x: Vinod Karki
Nifty 50’s PEG ratio is nearing the attractive zone of ~1x, with forward P/E at ~17x and consensus YoY earnings growth expectations of ~15% for FY27, thereby improving prospects for future returns.
The PEG of ~1x is amongst the lowest levels seen over the past decade, and the encouraging part is that earnings growth expectations appear credible. Our earnings preview for Q2FY27 for the Nifty 50 indicates PAT growth is likely to stand at 22%. Given that Q1FY27 PAT growth for the Nifty 50 was ~14%, the prospects for mid-teen earnings growth for FY27 appear highly likely. High-frequency indicators for Q2FY27 also suggest robust nominal aggregate growth, thereby improving the prospects for FY27, said Vinod Karki, Equity Strategist at ICICI Securities.

Stock Market LIVE: Why Is MCX Gold Lagging COMEX Gold And MCX Silver?
MCX gold price is advancing at a slower pace than COMEX gold and is also lagging MCX silver.
“A firmer rupee is reducing the benefit of the recovery in international prices, while silver’s rebound from oversold levels has been more pronounced. RBI intervention to support the rupee could further temper domestic bullion gains,” said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
According to him, immediate resistance for MCX gold price is placed at Rs 1,48,600, followed by Rs 1,50,000–Rs 1,50,700. On the downside, Rs 1,48,000 is the immediate support, followed by Rs 1,45,300–Rs 1,46,000 and then Rs 1,43,000–Rs 1,43,700. The RSI near 45 remains relatively flat, while the MACD is below zero but the negative histogram is narrowing.
Stock Market LIVE: Nifty 50 Faces Immediate Resistance At 23,200, Support At 22,900
Nifty 50 faces immediate resistance at 23,200, and a sustained move above this level could strengthen the ongoing recovery and push the index toward the 23,300–23,400 zone. However, failure to break through this hurdle could trigger profit-taking and limit further gains, said from Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
On the downside, 23,000–22,900 remains the key support zone, and holding above this range is essential to preserving the recovery structure, while a breakdown could revive selling pressure and weaken the near-term outlook. Momentum indicators remain broadly unchanged, with the RSI hovering near 53 in neutral territory, suggesting a relatively balanced momentum setup, he added.
