Patanjali Foods Ltd., Coal India Ltd. and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. were among few of the buzzing stocks on Friday.
Patanjali Foods
Shares of Patanjali Foods plunged over 13% on Friday after its inclusion in Futures and Options contracts. The exchange also approved the inclusion of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd., IIFL Finance Ltd., and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd.
Coal India
Coal India Ltd. saw its share price rise over 3% on Friday, after it announced it would levy an additional charge of Rs 300 per tonne across all mines of its wholly owned subsidiary, Northern Coalfields Ltd., starting May 1. It was trading nearly 2.46% higher by 11:55 a.m.
Ireda
Ireda shares fell over 7% on Friday, as the stock entered the Futures & Options segment with the start of the March series. This decline comes as investors adjust to the new trading dynamics introduced by the stock’s inclusion in the F&O segment.
It was trading 7.10% lower at Rs 154.69 apiece, compared to a 1.35% decline in the benchmark Nifty 50 as of 11:58 a.m.
KEI Industries
Shares of KEI Industries Ltd. rose over 7% on Friday after wire and cable sector experienced a notable recovery, following significant selling pressure triggered by UltraTech Cement Ltd.'s unexpected entry into the segment.
Tata Technologies
Tata Technologies Ltd. shares fell over 6.38% on Friday as Indian IT stocks sunk to a seven-month low on Friday and are set to register the worst monthly fall in nearly three years. Additionally, the stock entered the Futures and Options segment with the start of the March series.
The shares were trading 6.19% lower at Rs 671 per share as of 12:03 p.m.

Shares of Jindal Worldwide Ltd. rose over 16% on Friday as the shares were trading ex-bonus today. They pared gains to trade 14.59% higher at Rs 79 apiece, as of 12:05 p.m.
