Non-banking financial corporation (NBFC) Five Star Business Finance launched its initial public offering (IPO) on November 9, 2022, and was open for subscription till November 11, 2022. After receiving bids for only 70% of the total shares on offer, the Chennai-based NBFC is expected to finalise the allotment of shares any time today on November 16, 2022.

The Five Star Business Finance IPO was a complete offer for sale by the lender’s existing shareholders and promoters, including SCI Investments V and Matrix Partners India Investment Holdings II LLC. Five Star Business Finance was looking to raise ₹1,960 Crore through this IPO. The Five Star Business Finance IPO price band was fixed at ₹450-₹474 per share.

Five Star Business Finance’s shares are expected to list on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange on Monday, November 21, 2022. The NBFC is most likely to finalise the allotment of shares today on November 16, 2022, and credit the shares to the bidders’ demat accounts by November 18, 2022.
