Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On March 5: From Adani Ports To Bajaj Finance

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 254.65 points or 1.15% higher at 22,337.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 740.30 points or 1.01% up at 73,730.31.

Shares of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. and Tata Steel Ltd were the top gainers on Wednesday, while Bajaj Finance Ltd. and IndusInd Bank Ltd. were the top laggards on the NSE Nifty 50.

The Nifty ended 254.65 points or 1.15% higher at 22,337.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 740.30 points or 1.01% up at 73,730.31. On the NSE, all 12 sectors ended with gains. The Nifty Metal and Media were the top performers as they gained 4.07% and 3.08% respectively.

Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On March 5: From Adani Ports To Bajaj Finance

Adani Ports was the top gainer in the Nifty as it gained as much as 5.74% during the day and closed 5.11% higher at Rs 1,112 apiece on Monday.

Tata Steel Ltd.'s share price rose 5.13% to Rs 146.49 apiece before paring gains to trade at 4.9% higher at market close. Shares of Adani Enterprises Ltd. were the third biggest gainers as they soared over 5%, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Power Grid Corp., which rose 4.73% and 5.20% respectively.

Shares of Bajaj Finance declined 4.25% to trade at Rs 8,221 before it pared losses to trade 3.37% lower at Rs 8,297 at market close. The second biggest laggard was IndusInd Bank as the shares fell 1.72% to trade at Rs 970 apiece.

It was followed by HDFC Bank Ltd., which fell as much as 1.27% to trade at Rs 1,710 apiece. Shares of Shriram Finance Ltd. and Grasim Industries Ltd. also ended with losses as they fell 1.80% and 0.76% respectively.
