Nifty Top Gainers And Losers On Jan. 7: From ONGC, SBI Life To HCL Tech, TCS
Among the losers were share prices of HCL Technologies, Trent Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., Eicher Motors Ltd., and Tech Mahindra Ltd.

Oil & Natural Gas Corp., SBI Life Insurance Co., HDFC Life Insurance Co., Tata Motors Ltd., and Adani Enterprises Ltd. were among the top Nifty gainers.

The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex reversed two sessions of decline on Tuesday to end higher. The Nifty 50 ended 76.90 points, or 0.33% higher at 23,692.95, and the Sensex added 234 points, or 0.3% to close at 78,199.11.
Top Gainers
Oil & Natural Gas Corp. was the top gainer among Nifty stocks following CLSA identification of the company as a top pick. The brokerage forecasts a 42% upside with a new target price of Rs 360 per share. It highlighted multiple volume and realisation triggers in 2025, alongside a significant undervaluation and an attractive 6% dividend yield. The stock rose as much as 5% intraday to hit Rs 267, its highest level since Nov. 7.
This was followed by SBI Life, which also ended over 3% higher like ONGC. The stock rose as much as 3.9% intraday to hit Rs 1,490.80, its highest level since Nov. 28. The company is among five life insurance companies Centrum has initiated coverage on, as it remains constructive on the industry.
HDFC Life Insurance Co., Tata Motors, and SBI Life Insurance Co. were also among the top five gainers as they closed around 2% higher.

Top Losers
HCL Technologies Ltd. was among the top loser as it fell nearly 2% tracking overall fall in the sector. Trent Ltd. also closed 2% lower, extending its fall to a third consecutive session.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. logged a third session of gains and fell as much as 2.04% intraday to hit Rs 4,011.5, its lowest level since Nov. 18.
Eicher Motors Ltd. and Tech Mahindra Ltd. were the other two laggards. Tech Mahindra's stock fell as much as 1.5% intraday to hit Rs 1,661.5, its lowest level since Nov. 18.
