FPIs Stay Net Sellers For The Second Straight Day

Overseas investors in Indian equities remained net sellers on Monday for the second straight session.

Foreign portfolio investors offloaded stocks worth Rs 1,874.5 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange. Domestic institutional investors turned net buyers after a day of selling and mopped up equities worth Rs 3,549 crore, the NSE data showed.

Foreign institutions have been net sellers of Rs 23,839 crore worth of Indian equities so far in 2024, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd., updated till the previous trading day.

The Nifty 50 closed 27.05 points, or 0.12%, higher at 22,529.05, and the Sensex ended 52.62 points, or 0.071%, lower at 73,953.31.
