BEML Share Price Swings Ahead Of Q4 Results

BEML Ltd.'s share price experienced volatility on Friday, initially rising by 1.20% before reversing gains to trade flat as investors anticipate the company's fourth quarter results scheduled for May 23.

In the December 2024 quarter, BEML reported a significant decline in its consolidated net profit, which fell to Rs 24.41 crore, a 50% drop compared to Rs 48.20 crore in the same period the previous year. The company's revenue from operations also decreased, reaching Rs 875.77 crore in Q3FY25, down over 16% year-on-year from Rs 1,046.97 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY24.

Ahead of its financial results, BEML Ltd. has announced the closure of its trading window starting April 1, 2025, in accordance with regulatory requirements. The trading window will remain closed until 48 hours after the financial results are declared, extending until May 25, to comply with insider trading regulations.

The scrip rose as much as 1.20% to Rs 3,668 apiece. It later gave up gains to trade flat at Rs 3,624 apiece, as of 10:25 a.m. This compares to a 0.61% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 Index.

It has fallen 20.32% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 0.23 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 66.

All four analysts are tracking the company maintain a 'buy' rating on the stock, according to Bloomberg data. The average 12-month consensus price target implies an upside of 7.8%.
