Asian stocks declined on the final trading day of the month as President Donald Trump was said to be moving ahead with a plan to impose new tariffs on China as soon as next week.

Stocks slipped in Japan and South Korea, while futures pointed to a lower start for China and Hong Kong, after the S&P 500 declined. The Singapore-traded SGX Nifty, an early indicator of NSE Nifty 50 Index's performance in India, traded 0.2 percent lower at 11,707.50 as of 7:10 a.m.
