Diversified conglomerate Aditya Birla Group's market capitalisation has crossed the $100 billion mark, joining the likes of Tata Group, Adani Enterprises Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. In rupee terms, the combined market cap of 11 companies in the pack stood at Rs 8.51 lakh crore on Friday.

The group firms include UltraTech Cement Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., Aditya Birla Capital Ltd., Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, Vodafone Idea Ltd., Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., TCNS Clothing Ltd., Aditya Birla Money Ltd., Century Textiles Ltd., Century Enka Ltd. and Pilani Investment Ltd.

"The group's market cap growth has beaten the benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty year-to-date, as well as on a one-year, three-year, and five-year time frame," a statement from the group said.

The Aditya Birla Group's market cap accretion has been double that of the S&P, even in US dollar terms, across one-year and three-year time horizons, the statement said.

Grasim has seen its market cap double to over $19 billion in the last three years, on the back of incubating and scaling new high-growth engines, while Hindalco added over $7 billion to its market cap in the last 12 months.

All but two group companies have seen their stocks rally since the beginning of this year. Struggling telecommunications company Vodafone Idea Ltd. has seen over 5% decline, while UltraTech Cement's stock has fallen 2.6% so far this year.

Century Textiles, which houses the real estate business of the group, has nearly tripled its market cap in only one year. Retail arm ABFRL has seen its market cap grow 1.5 times in the last one year.
