The sequel to the 2023 controversial film The Kerala Story is set for its digital debut. The Kerala Story 2, released on February 27, 2026, received a warmer response compared to its successful prequel. However, with its digital debut, allowing viewers who missed the theatrical release or want to watch the film from the comfort of their homes, the film can expand its audience.

The social thriller film is set to start streaming on ZEE5 from May 1, 2026. With a runtime of about 2 hours and 11 minutes, the film is reportedly said to be available in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada as well.

Box Office Journey

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond received mixed responses from its audience. Despite being labelled as a 'communal propaganda', the film has collected a total gross of Rs 62.33 crore. Meanwhile, it locked in Rs 52.92 crore in net collections across 126,834 shows.

Lead Cast React

Ulka Gupta spoke about her character and shared, "Playing Surekha was one of the most emotionally demanding experiences of my career. This liberal Malayali girl from Kochi lived in a constant conflict between her beliefs, her circumstances, and survival!"

Aditi Bhatia also said, "I'm excited for viewers across the world to watch it on Hindi ZEE5."

About The Film

Directed by the National Film Award winner Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The three young women in the film are played by Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha.
