The 2026 West Bengal Assembly election may be heading toward a decisive outcome, with an analysis by Today's Chanakya suggesting a strong advantage for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to the latest projections Today's Chanakya, a polling agency known for its election forecasts in India and abroad, the BJP could secure 192 seats in the 294-member West Bengal Assembly, with a possible upside taking it past the 200-mark, well above the majority threshold. 

The ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC+) bloc, led by Mamata Banerjee, is projected to fall significantly short, with an estimated 100 seats, while others may account for a marginal share., according to the exit polls.
