(Bloomberg) -- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been chosen to try to form Israel's next government.
By law, the prime minister has 28 days to build a governing coalition, with the possibility of a 14-day extension.
He was designated after the country's March 23 election, the fourth in two years. The vote yielded an inconclusive outcome, with no clear path for either Netanyahu or his rivals to piece together a government.
