India In Process Of Reviewing US Court Order Blocking Trump Tariffs, Say Sources
The US court's order against Trump tariffs comes amid the ongoing trade talks between India and the US.

India is in the process of reviewing a US federal court order that has blocked most of the sweeping tariffs announced by President Donald Trump last month, persons privy to the development told NDTV Profit on Thursday.
The Court of International Trade, in its ruling, said the White House cannot authorise the president to unilaterally impose reciprocal tariffs on all trading partners by invoking an emergency law.
The US Congress has the exclusive right for introducing sweeping measures to regulate commerce and trade with other countries, according to the New York-based court.
The development comes amid the ongoing trade talks between India and the US. The negotiations are progressing well, the persons privy to the development said, adding that a team of American officials will be visiting New Delhi on June 5-6.
During their visit, the US officials will hold further deliberations with the Indian side on the trade pact — which has been under negotiations since the onset of Trump's presidency earlier this year.
