Maharashtra has administered over 2 crore vaccine doses, shows latest data on CoWin, the central government's application that tracks the vaccination program country-wide. This makes it the state with the maximum vaccine doses delivered so far, followed by Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and West Bengal.
The state chief minister tweeted the same while delivering his thanks to healthcare workers.
Maharashtra continues to be at the forefront in the country to carry the vaccination drive on such a large scale.

Just over 3.21 lakh doses remain with the state and the central government's pipeline supply will add 50,000 in the next three days. This is as per data published by the health ministry on the evening of May 18.
Uttar Pradesh has the largest vaccine stock of 20.32 lakh doses, followed by Tamil Nadu (13.63 lakh), Madhya Pradesh (12.80 lakh), Gujarat (11.25 lakh), Andhra Pradesh (10.64 lakh) and Chhattisgarh (9.89 lakh).
Total Vaccination
Across India, 18.58 crore doses have been administered as on 8 pm of May 18, ministry data shows. The eligible population (18 years and above) is estimated to be 90 crore people. That's 180 crore doses to be administered.
Yet, India's pace of vaccination has continued to decline through May on account of insufficient vaccine supplies. On May 18, a total 12.79 lakh vaccine doses were given versus an average 28 lakh vaccinations per day in April.
The vaccine doses for those 45 years and above, as well as health care and frontline workers are supplied by the centre to the states. Between May 18 to month end, 1.95 crore doses will be made available to states, the health ministry statement said.
States procure doses themselves to vaccinate those between 18-44 years. The central government has allocated cumulative and individual quotas to states from within domestic production of vaccines.
States will have 72.40 lakh doses available for direct procurement between May 18-31, the ministry said. Between May 1-18, states have delivered 64.60 lakh doses.
In the 18 to 44-year-old category, Rajasthan is the top vaccinating state.
