Covid-19 India Updates: Over 44,000 New Cases, 555 Deaths Reported

India reported over 44,000 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to above 4.05 lakh.

This is the third consecutive day that the country has reported above 40,000 cases amid talks of an impending third wave.

Deaths fell marginally, from 640 to 555 in the last day, according to health ministry's 8:00 a.m. on July 30.
