Orange juice is the best performing commodity in September as prices rose in double-digits after Hurricane Irma damaged groves in Florida, U.S.

The global benchmark for orange juice on the Intercontinental Exchange is up 12.4 percent for the month, according to Bloomberg data. In comparison, wheat has risen 9.8 percent, crude is up 7.2 percent and aluminium (Shanghai) has gained 3 percent. Safe-haven gold has declined 1.7 percent.

Orange juice futures for November delivery on ICE, New York settled at $1.547 a pound.
