(Bloomberg) -- Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas has nosedived this year as a perfect storm depletes his fortune: a declining Mexican peso, a rout in his publicly-traded electronics retailer Grupo Elektra SAB, and now, the end of a rally in the shares of his TV Azteca SAB. He's the biggest loser in Latin America this year in dollar terms among the world's top billionaires. Once the world's 65th-richest person in 2012, he has now dropped off the Bloomberg Billionaires Index of the world's 400 wealthiest billionaires.
