Billionaire Sridhar Vembu has teased an "important product launch" in Tamil Nadu's Kumbakonam city on Jan. 23. Without providing much details, the founder and former chief executive officer of Zoho Corporation said the upcoming launch is aimed at a "major market".
"We have an important product launch on January 23, in Kumbakonam, targeting a major market," Vembu wrote on X.
He shared that the company will be discussing its expansion in the Kumbakonam region during the event. This also includes the expansion of Zoho Schools of Learning.

Zoho is said to have been planning a major IT office near Kumbakonam. Spanning 200 acres, the facility is expected to have a total capacity of 10,000 employees. Besides boosting the local economy, the project is aimed at creating opportunities for people in several regions, including Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Thiruvarur and Kumbakonam.
Founded in 1996, Zoho Corporation has more than 18,000 employees around the world.

Zoho Opens First Data Centres In The UAE
UAE. Located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the data centres have been established as part of an AED 100 million investment announced in 2023.
It will host solutions from ManageEngine (enterprise IT management) and Zoho (cloud business solutions), according to an official statement.
"With this move, Zoho Corporation will be enabling businesses store their data locally, strengthening data sovereignty, and supporting the National Cybersecurity Agenda," said Shailesh Davey, Co-founder and CEO, Zoho Corporation.
The data centres received certification from the CSP Security Standard Certificate by the Dubai Electronic Security Center. This qualifies the company to serve the government as well as semi-government entities, along with the local businesses in the region.
Last year, Zoho expanded by 38.7% in the UAE, besides boosting its partner network by 29% during the same period. The company has increased its employee count by 35% last year to serve the needs of its increasing customer base.
Vembu's net worth is estimated at around $5.85 billion. This places him among the 40 richest people in India. However, most of the company's shares are held by his siblings.
Zoho Corporation is the parent company of technology brands like ManageEngine, Zoho, TrainerCentral, and Qntrl.
