Zepto’s remarkable 259% growth in valuation positioned it as the leader in year-on-year growth, surpassing SignatureGlobal (India) Ltd. and Zomato Ltd.

Kaivalya Vohra, the 21-year-old co-founder of Zepto, has emerged as the youngest individual in IDFC FIRST Private & Hurun India’s Top 200 Self-Made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2024.
Zepto, the quick commerce sensation, recorded a staggering 259% growth in valuation, reaching Rs 41,800 crore, making it the biggest gainer in valuation growth in the list of companies.
Fellow Co-founder Aadit Palicha, 22, followed next on the list, while Shashvat Nakrani, 26, from BharatPe was the third. Vohra and Palicha have also made strides, climbing 54 ranks to storm into the top 20 of the prestigious list.
Zepto’s remarkable 259% growth in valuation positioned it as the leader in year-on-year growth, surpassing SignatureGlobal (India) Ltd. and Zomato Ltd. However, in terms of absolute valuation gains, Zomato emerged top performer, with an increase of Rs 1,65,100 crore, followed by DMart operator Avenue Supermarts Ltd. and Makemytrip.
The rapid ascent of Zepto can be attributed to its innovative approach to quick commerce, catering to the growing demand for rapid delivery of groceries and essentials.
Vohra and Palicha both studied computer science at Stanford University, before dropping out at the age of 18 years to develop their start-up. In August, Vohra was named India’s youngest billionaire in Hurun's India Rich List 2024, with a net worth of Rs 3,600 crore. This marks his third appearance on the list since debuting in 2022.
