Ujaas Energy Zooms 15% on Bagging Order from Oil India

Ujaas Energy shares advanced 15 per cent to hit intraday high of Rs 16.49 after the electrical equipment maker said that it has secured order worth Rs 88 crore from Oil India Ltd.

Ujaas Energy in a filing to the BSE said, "The company has received an letter of award from Oil India Limited for engineering, procurement and construction for 9MWP (DC) grid interactive solar photo voItaic (SPV) power plant at Ramgarh, Jaisalmer along with its comprehensive operation and maintenance."

The contract is for a period of 25 years and is expected to cost Rs 88 crore, added Ujaas Energy.

Shares of Ujaas Energy witnessed strong buying with trading volumes seeing a big jump. As many as 1,98,000 shares changed hands on the BSE compared to average of 96,000 shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

The shares of Ujaas Energy ended 7 per cent higher at Rs 15.36.
