Popular Japanese car company Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled the first look at their upcoming new fifth-generation hybrid Prius. The Prius is one of the most iconic Toyota cars internationally and the company has just released initial photos and some details of the latest version of the popular Prius model. As per information released by Toyota, the new hybrid Prius will come in 3 powertrain versions: a plug-in hybrid setup, which will be the only option available in Europe initially, and two full-hybrid versions that will be available in other regions such as Japan and the United States.

New Toyota Prius Gets A Style Upgrade

According to the initial promo photos released by Toyota, the new Prius has been given a more sleek and sporty look and an incredibly stylish design that gives the hybrid car an even more couple-like build. The design of the Prius is also somewhat similar to Toyota's recent new car models and has taken inspiration from bZ EV range of Toyota cars as well as borrowed some design elements from the recently released ‘Crown' model by Toyota. The new Prius has an attractive full-width LED light at it's rear that gives the car a unique look. The new Prius is much lower but wider than the current model of Prius and also contains a longer wheelbase than the existing Prius model. However, the overall length of the new Prius is reportedly shorter than the older Prius model. The new Prius also comes equipped with a large floating screen that serves as an entertainment system as well as provides vital information about the car. The new Prius is also equipped with sensors that will flash lights on the dashboard whenever any object is detected as being too close to the car.
