Tata Motors on Friday reported a 28 per cent decline in total vehicle sales at 51,638 units in October, 2013.
The company had sold 71,771 units in the corresponding period last year, it said in a statement.
Total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 14,133 units, down 33 per cent from 21,119 units in October, 2012.
Sales of the Nano, Indica and Indigo range in stood at 10,944 units in October, 2013. Of the Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture range, 3,189 units were sold during the month.
In the commercial vehicles segment, the company's sales dropped by 30.26 per cent to 32,793 units in the domestic market during the month compared to 47,026 units in the corresponding period last year.
Exports grew by 29.95 per cent to 4,712 units last month from 3,626 units in the same month last year, it added.
