PNB Q4 Business Updates: Domestic Deposits Rise 13% To Rs 15.1 Lakh Crore

PNB's domestic business touched Rs 25.77 lakh crore, marking a 1.7% quarter-on-quarter and 13.2% year-on-year growth.

Punjab National Bank's domestic deposits rose 13.3% year-on-year to Rs 15.1 lakh crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2025, as per the quarterly business update posted by the state-run lender on Wednesday.

Sequentially, however, the domestic deposits marked an increase of 2.4%.

The bank's global business grew by 1.6% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 26.83 lakh crore. Year-on-year, it rose by 14%.

The lender’s global deposits totalled up to Rs 15.66 lakh crore, which translates to a quarter-on-quarter growth of 2.4%, while the year-on-year rise stood at 14.3%.

Global advances added up to Rs 11.17 lakh crore, increasing by 0.6% quarter-on-quarter. Year-on-year, they grew by 13.6%, the updates stated.

Meanwhile, the lender’s domestic advances stood at Rs 10.67 lakh crore, a rise of 0.6% quarter-on-quarter and an increase of 13.2% year-on-year.

The global credit-deposit ratio was 71.37% as of March 31, 2025. In comparison, the bank's global credit-deposit ratio for the year-ago quarter stood at 71.79%, while in the October-December quarter it was 72.58%.

The regulatory filing clarified that the figures are provisional and subject to audit by the Statutory Central Auditors of the bank.

Before the quarterly business updates were posted, shares of PNB closed 1.15% higher at Rs 97.34 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.78% advance in the benchmark Sensex.
