New Delhi: NRDC, an enterprise under the Ministry of Science & Technology, has entered into a pact with domestic steel giant SAIL for transfer of technologies.
"An agreement has been signed between Research & Development Centre for Iron & Steel (RDCIS), SAIL and National Research & Development Corporation (NRDC), an enterprise of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology," NRDC said in a statement.
SAIL-RDCIS and NRDC recognise the respective strengths of the two organisations and accordingly agreed to cooperate in the development of technologies and their transfer to industry for commercial exploitation and socio economic benefits, it added.
"The purpose of this agreement is promotion, development, licensing and commercial exploitation of indigenous technologies, know-how and inventions, including the technical and engineering know-how generated by RDCIS," the statement added.
NRDC has expertise in commercialisation of technologies and knowhow in India and abroad.
