Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. has reshuffled the top management in its automotive and farm equipment divisions, days after announcing changes in its corporate office.

The changes will come into effect from April 1, 2020.

Rajan Wadhera, president of Mahindra's automotive division, is set to retire and step down from an executive role. Veejay Nakra will be appointed as chief executive officer. He will have operating responsibility for passenger and commercial vehicles business with profit and loss accountability, except for product development process, the automaker said in a statement.

While Hemant Sikka will head the farm equipment sector, R Velusamy will be appointed as the chief of global product development (automotive). Vinod Sahay will be chief purchase officer of auto and farm sectors.

Nakra, Sikka, Velusamy and Sahay will report to Rajesh Jejurikar, who will join the Mahindra board as Executive Director AFS from Apr. 1, 2020.

Among other changes, Rajeev Goyal has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of AFS. He will report to noth Jejurikar and S Durgashankar, who will have an enhanced role as Group Controller of Finance and Accounts working closely with CFOs of all group businesses.

The company's agri business headed by Ashok Sharma will move from AFS and report to SP Shukla, who will also continue to head the Aerospace, Defence and Steel Sectors. He will report to Anish Shah, who will become the MD and CEO on Apr. 2, 2021.

Rajeshwar Tripathi will be the chief human resources officer for AFS. He will have dual reporting to Jejurikar and Ruzbeh Irani, who is slated to head Mahindra's Group HR and communications, which includes corporate social responsibility, Ethics and CIS.
