Industrial production growth in June slowed to 3.4 per cent from 4.7 percent a month earlier, government data showed on Tuesday.
A Reuters poll had estimated it to grow to 5.4 per cent in June.
Weak industrial production is one of the main reasons for India's growth struggle. A fall in output last fiscal year resulted in the second successive year of below 5 per cent GDP expansion.
