HG Infra Engineering Subsidiary Bags Rs 1,123-Crore Contract From NHAI

HG Infra Engineering Ltd. announced on Monday that the National Highway Authority of India awarded a contract totaling Rs 1,123.1 crore to its wholly owned subsidiary.
HG Raipur Visakhapatnam OD-6 Pvt. received the provisional certificate for the project on Monday, according to an exchange filing. It states that the project is fit for commercial operation from Jan. 8, 2025, and was issued by an independent engineer on April 25.
The project entails developing the six-lane Baunsaguar-Baraja Section of the NH-130-CD Road in Odisha. The hybrid annuity project is a part of the Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor and is to be completed in 730 days.
The disclosure added that the trading window for dealing in the securities of the company is closed for all designated persons and their immediate relatives, until 48 hours after the declaration of audited financial results of the company for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025.
Last week, the company had intimated that Chandra Pal Mehta had resigned as technical president, and that the resignation shall be effective from the close of business hours on April 24, 2025.
Earlier this month, on April 21, the infrastructure company had informed that it had won a 300 MW/600 MWh segment of a 500 MW/1000 MWh project to install standalone battery energy storage systems in Gujarat, under a tariff-based global competitive bidding.
Shares of HG Infra Engineering closed 0.02% lower at Rs 1,086.15 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 1.27% advance in the benchmark Sensex. The company’s filing regarding the order win came after the stock markets had closed for Monday.
