FPIs Stay Net Buyers For Fourth Straight Day

Overseas investors remained net buyers of Indian equities for the fourth day in a row on Tuesday.

Foreign portfolio investors net bought equities worth Rs 825.18 crore today, according to data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors also net bought equities worth Rs 117.79 crore today, after selling for two days in a row.

Institutions had net bought Rs 3,978.31 crore worth of equities in July alone. It was the only month of the year when institutions remained net buyers.

FPIs have net sold equities worth Rs 45,998.72 crore so far this year.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex jumped by 5.09% in the last five days and closed at 58,135 to post the best gain in almost two months. The Nifty 50 ended 5 points higher at 17,345.45. It is the fifth straight session of gains for the benchmarks.
