Maruti Suzuki Mini Segment Sales Rise Nearly Threefold
Maruti Suzuki's mini segment, comprising Alto, S-Presso, saw sales rise 190% year-on-year at 7,418 units.
Compact segment, comprising models like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR, saw sales go up 20% to 54,906 on-year.
SUV sales for December rose 21% to 55,651 year-on-year.
Total exports up 39% at 37,419 units year-on-year.

Atul Auto's Domestic Sales Fall 13.7%
Atul Auto Ltd. clocked total domestic sales of 2,523 units in December 2024, which marked a plunge of 13.7% as compared to 2,219 units in the same month of the preceding year.
The three-wheeler maker's total sales, however, climbed 3.2% to 2,583 units as compared to 2,503 units in December 2023, an exchange filing showed.
SML Isuzu Posts 33.8% Decline In Total Sales
SML Isuzu Ltd. reported a 33.8% decline in total sales to 626 units in December 2024, as compared to 946 units in the same month of previous year.
The company's passenger vehicle sales slipped 30.1% to 364 units from 521 units last year, whereas cargo vehicle sales dropped 38.4% to 262 units from 425 units in the year-ago period.
Eicher Motors Domestic Sales Up 1%, Exports Climb 52%
The total domestic sales of Eicher Motors jumped 1% in the month of December 2024 to 7,545 units, as compared to 7,468 units in same month of 2023.
The total exports climbed by 52.6% to 490 units, as against 321 units exports in December 2023.
The total Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles or VECV sales in December 2024 came in at 8,324 units, higher by 3.7% as compared to 8.026 units in the same month of the preceding year.
Hyundai Motor's Total Sales Slips 2%
Hyundai Motor's total sales declined to 55,078 units in December 2024, higher by 2% as compared to 56,456 units in the same month of the preceding year.
The total domestic sales, however, slipped to 42,208 units from 42,750 units in December 2023.
On the overseas sales front as well, the company recorded a slide, as the total exports slipped 6.1% to 12,870 units from 13,700 units in the same month a year ago.

Total two-wheeler sales down 4% at 2.72 lakh units (YoY).
Total commercial vehicle sales up 16% at 50,952 units (YoY).
