(Bloomberg) -- Democratic Senator Bob Casey beat back a challenge from Republican Representative Lou Barletta in Pennsylvania, capturing a third term representing a state President Donald Trump won in 2016, according to projections from CBS and ABC.
Casey was first elected in 2006 as a moderate opposing gun control, only to drift leftward. He criticized Barletta and Republicans on health care as well as the 2017 tax cuts he said overlooked the middle class.
