Barry Ritholtz's Masters in Business; Edward Yardeni Interview

None

This week on our Masters in Business podcast, we speak with Edward Yardeni, president and chief investment strategist of Yardeni Research, and the former chief investment strategist at Deutsche Bank Securities.

Yardeni, who started as an economist at the Federal Reserve after receiving a doctorate in economics from Yale, describes how he happened to discover potential glitches in information systems that weren't designed to handle dates after 1999, known as the Y2K problem. He is perhaps best known for developing the Fed Model, which had some success in the 1990s in determining relative equity valuations. Much of Yardeni's work is technical and his reports and blog posts are often gold mines for insights into markets and the economy.
