Adani Green Energy Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 12,000 megawatts of operational portfolio, reaching 12,258.1 MW. The milestone establishes AGEL as the first and only renewable energy company in India to attain this level of operational capacity.

The country's top renewable energy producer now boasts a portfolio comprising 8,347.5 MW of solar, 1,651 MW of wind, and 2,259.6 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.

The achievement underscores AGEL's commitment to delivering 50,000 MW of clean, affordable, and reliable power by 2030, the company said in a statement on Friday.

The current operational portfolio is capable of powering over 6.2 million homes and will contribute to avoiding approximately 22.64 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually, it said.

The emissions avoided are equivalent to the carbon sequestered by 1,078 million trees.

Furthermore, AGEL's contribution to India's renewable energy goals is substantial, including the largest greenfield expansion in the country's renewable energy sector, representing roughly 10% of India's installed utility-scale solar and wind capacity, and contributing over 13% of India's utility-scale solar installations.
