Adani Green Commissions 480 MW Solar And Wind Power Projects In Khavda, Gujarat
AGEL’s total operational renewable capacity rises to 14,217.9 MW with the latest additions at Khavda.

Adani Green Energy Ltd. has operationalised 692.6 megawatts of renewable energy projects at Khavda, Gujarat, through its wholly-owned stepdown subsidiaries, the company informed the exchanges.
The latest additions include 480.1 MW of solar and wind power plants commissioned on Saturday and a 212.5 MW solar project commissioned by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd. on Friday. With these developments, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has risen to 14,217.9 MW.
The company said the decision to operationalise these projects was made following necessary clearances, with power generation commencing from Sunday.
The newly commissioned projects include solar and wind power plants under various subsidiaries. Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six Ltd. has operationalised a 125 MW solar project, while Adani Renewable Energy Forty One Ltd. has commissioned a 65.6 MW wind project.
Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven Ltd. has brought a 37.5 MW solar project online, Adani Green Energy Twenty Four Ltd. has added 52 MW of wind capacity, and Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A Ltd. has operationalised a 200 MW solar project.
The company is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30,000 MW on barren wasteland at Khavda in Gujarat’s Kutch district. Spanning 538 square kilometers, the project is five times the size of Paris and nearly as large as Mumbai. Once completed, it will be the largest power plant in the world across all energy sources.
In a separate development, Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL, will supply 400 megawatts of solar power to Uttar Pradesh for 25 years. The company received a contract award letter from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for power procurement from a grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan at a tariff of Rs 2.57 per kilowatt-hour, according to a stock exchange filing on Friday.
Adani Green is also developing a 500 MW capacity solar park in Bhadla, Jodhpur, and a 1,500 MW solar park in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer. The Fatehgarh Solar Park, spread across 9,981 acres, will have a total capacity of 1,500 MW once completed.
