Budget 2025: ION Exchange, Thermax, Other Stocks Gain On Jal Jeevan Mission Extension
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated in her budget speech that Jal Jeevan Mission will focus on quality of infrastructure.

Shares of KSB, Thermax Ltd., and other companies advanced on Saturday as the government announced extension of the Jal Jeevan Mission until 2028 with enhanced outlay in the Union Budget 2025–2026.

VA Tech Wabag shares rose on the heels of the announcement, seeing nearly 3.47% gains at Rs 1,375 apiece, as of 11:37 a.m. The company has given 109% returns in the last 12 months.
Shares of ION Exchange also followed suit, rising 4.69% to trade at Rs 608.95 per equity share. The stock has risen 12.50% in the last 12 months.
Thermax stock was up 0.94% at Rs 3,899.90. The stock has risen 23.62% in the last 12 months.
The Finance Minister also announced incentivisation of urban sector reforms. Urban Challenge Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore will be set up to finance up to 25% of bankable projects. The second plan for 2025-2030 will be launched to plough back capital of Rs 10 lakh crore in new infra projects, she said.
