PM Modi China Visit Live Updates: Modi Departs From Tanjin; Concludes Bilateral Talks With Putin, Xi Jinping

PM Modi thanked President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government and people for the successful organisation of SCO Summit, as he concluded his visit.

"Concluding a productive visit to China, where I attended the SCO Summit and interacted with various world leaders. Also emphasised India’s stand on key global issues," he wrote on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi departs from Tianjin, China, after successfully completing his visit to Japan and China.

"Had an excellent meeting with President Putin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Tianjin," shared PM Modi on X. "Discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in all sectors, including trade, fertilisers, space, security and culture," he added.

"We exchanged views on regional and global developments, including the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. Our Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership remains a vital pillar of regional and global stability," he wrote.

Prime Minister conveyed to Russian President Vladimir Putin that he was looking forward to receiving him in India for the 23rd Annual Summit later this year for further strengthening of the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin have discussed bilateral cooperation, including in the economic, financial, and energy sectors and expressed satisfaction with the sustained growth in bilateral ties in these areas, as per official MEA statement.
