At least 300 children have been killed in Gaza in the 300 days since the October 2025 ceasefire, according to UNICEF.
The UN children's agency said the figure means one child has been killed every day on average since the ceasefire began.
"The current situation is failing children," UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Director Edouard Beigbeder said in a statement.
According to Al-Jazeera, UNICEF in a statement said that the children across Gaza continue to live in unsafe and unsanitary shelters while also facing acute malnutrition and the spread of disease. The agency said children remain among the worst affected by the humanitarian crisis and reiterated its call for better protection of civilians and continued humanitarian assistance.

Earlier Al- Jazeera citing Gaza's Health Ministry reported that at least one person was killed and five others injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, taking the reported death toll since the start of the war in October 2023 to 73,382.
The ministry said 174,236 people have been injured since the conflict began. It also reported that 1,254 Palestinians have been killed and 4,121 wounded since the October 2025 ceasefire, which Palestinian authorities say has been repeatedly violated.
Separately, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society said Israeli forces arrested 60 Palestinians during raids in the Qalandiya refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. Those detained included women and children.
The group alleged that detainees were subjected to beatings, intimidation and abuse during interrogations. It also accused Israeli forces of forcing residents from their homes and damaging property during the operation.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said at least 16 Palestinians were injured during the two-day military operation in the camp.
Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt issued a joint statement condemning Israel's intensified military operations in Gaza.
The ministers described attacks on civilians and healthcare facilities as a "grave breach of international law", adding that the renewed offensive risks undermining recent diplomatic efforts to secure a lasting peace agreement. The statement followed a meeting in Jordan's capital, Amman, focused on protecting holy sites in Jerusalem.

Türkiye also accused Israel of escalating the conflict beyond Gaza.
"Netanyahu's government has intensified its acts of terror in the West Bank and Jerusalem," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani in Ankara.
"Israel's continued attacks, despite the deal on the Gaza peace plan, once again show that Israeli Premier Netanyahu does not want peace," Fidan added.
