Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, has reportedly died after succumbing to injuries sustained during the recent US-Israeli strikes, Iranian state media said on Monday. Press TV reported that she had “attained martyrdom” following the attack.
Her death comes days after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself was killed in coordinated strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on Saturday, according to Iranian state media reports.
Earlier, state media had reported that several members of Khamenei's family including his daughter, granddaughter, daughter-in-law and son-in-law were also killed in the attacks. Previous reports had said that the late Supreme Leader, his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were among those killed.

Iranian state television on Sunday announced a 40-day national mourning period and declared seven public holidays following the killing of the country's 86-year-old Supreme Leader, who had been in power since 1989.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed retaliation, issuing a strongly-worded statement.
“The hand of revenge of the Iranian nation for a severe, decisive and regrettable punishment for the murderers of the Imam of the Ummah will not let go of them,” the IRGC said.
The reported deaths mark a dramatic escalation in tensions in the region, with Tehran signalling a forceful response in the aftermath of the strikes.
