The event will feature an impressive lineup of global artists, including Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Raye, Shakira, Sabrina Carpenter and Teddy Swims. Their performances are expected to be among the highlights of the event.
Indian and Indian-Origin Nominees
The nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards, announced in November 2024, bring both familiar and fresh Indian and Indian-origin names into the spotlight. Among those recognised this year are Ricky Kej, Anoushka Shankar, Varijashree Venugopal, Radhika Vekaria and Chandrika Tandon.
Three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej has earned yet another nomination in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for his album Break of Dawn. Also competing in this category is Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn, an album by renowned sitarist, singer-songwriter and composer Anoushka Shankar. Joining them are Radhika Vekaria, an Indian-origin artist, with her album Warriors of Light and Chandrika Tandon, whose album Triveni — created in collaboration with flautist Wouter Kellerman and cellist Eru Matsumoto — has also secured a nomination.
Anoushka Shankar has picked up a second nomination for Best Global Music Performance for her collaboration with British multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier on the song A Rock Somewhere. This track also features Varijashree Venugopal, a Bengaluru-based vocalist, flautist and composer, who is celebrating her first-ever Grammy nomination. Interestingly, Venugopal has also contributed to Ricky Kej’s Break of Dawn album.

2025 Grammy Awards Top Nominations
Beyonce leads the 2025 Grammy Awards nominations with 11 nominations for her Cowboy Carter album and its singles. With this, the singer surpassed her previous record of 10 nominations in 2009. However, Beyonce is not the only female artist making waves this year. Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter have also received nominations in the top three general categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
Notably, both Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are also nominated for Best New Artist, positioning them as contenders in all four of the Grammy's major categories. Should either of them win Best New Artist along with Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, they would make history as the first artists to achieve this remarkable feat since Billie Eilish in 2020.
In addition to Beyonce's impressive 11 nominations, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Charli XCX are close behind with seven nominations each. Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter each earned six nominations.
