Tim Cook Inaugurates Apple’s First Map Development Centre in India

Apple aims to tap into India’s growing developers market.

  • Tech giant Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has described India as an unparalleled country and said he liked the vibrancy of its people and has made some lifelong friends.

  • Cook was in Hyderabad to inaugurate Apple’s first-ever Map development centre in India. This centre will be capable or accommodating over 4000 employees, thereby creating job opportunities.

  • Apple has already confirmed the setting up of an iOS development centre in order to tap into the huge pool of developers from India.

  • Cook is also in the country to talk with telecom operators over exclusive data agreements and companies like Vodafone, Airtel, and Reliance Jio are top of his list.
