These Samsung Galaxy A Series Phones Will Get One UI 7's AI Assistant With Side Button; Check List

Samsung has announced that a few Galaxy A series smartphones will soon allow AI assistant activation via the side button, bringing a much-liked feature from the Galaxy S series to a wider range of devices. Users will be able to access the feature through the One UI 7 OTA update.
With the update, users will be able to enjoy smarter AI experiences, including launching Gemini, Google's AI-powered assistant, by simply pressing and holding the side button.
The most recent Galaxy A smartphones from Samsung, the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26, feature Awesome Intelligence along with AI-powered features that allow users to enjoy Galaxy's mobile AI experiences. With direct access to Gemini via the side button, the update will enable even more Galaxy A users to complete everyday tasks more easily using AI.

Here’s What You Can Do With AI Assistant Via Side Button Update
The update will give you simpler access to Gemini, making it easier to check schedules, locate eateries in your area, and even utilise voice commands to get suggestions for birthday presents. Additionally, you can perform operations across Samsung, Google and some third-party apps with a single command, such as using Google Maps to choose a restaurant for dinner and Messages to email the address to a buddy.
With quicker access to Gemini, you can even get AI's help for any last-minute dinner plans. For instance, at the tap of a button, you can ask Gemini about "Italian, pet-friendly restaurants" or "restaurants with terrace seating" and receive options in a matter of seconds. You can choose a location and share it with a friend without typing a single word.
When Will Software Update Roll Out?
Samsung said that the software update will roll out globally to select Galaxy A series models starting in early May.
