Save The Date For iPhone 17 Launch: After Mark Gurman, German Publication Hints At Sept. 9
The latest leak aligns with previous reports, such as those from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who mentioned the launch might take place between Sept. 8 and 12.

Apple is tipped to launch its highly anticipated flagship smartphone lineup — iPhone 17 — reportedly on Sept. 9. As per a report by German publication iPhone-ticker.de, which was backed by information by local smartphone providers, Sept. 9 is the date Apple could zero in on for the launch of four models this year: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Apple is anticipated to follow its standard schedule for launching the new iPhone series after this year’s keynote. If this information holds true, pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series could kick off on Friday, Sept. 12, with official sales and deliveries reportedly set to commence a week after, on Sept. 19.
Although Apple has yet to officially announce the date, it aligns with previous reports, such as those from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who mentioned that the event might take place between Sept. 8 and 12, with Sept. 9 looking the most likely launch date. Notably, Apple also unveiled last year’s iPhone 16 series on Sept. 9.
What’s In Store At Apple Event In September
Apart from the release of iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple is set to raise the curtains over the purported new iPhone 17 Air. The iPhone 17 Air will be super slim and light, and will replace the Plus model in the lineup.
This could be the final time that Apple launches all four models at once. There have been speculations suggesting that Apple may separate the iPhone 18 release into two parts, with the premium models unveiled in September 2026 and the base iPhone and iPhone 18e debuting in the spring of 2027.
In addition, Apple is anticipated to reveal its third iteration of AirPods Pro and new Apple Watch models alongside the iPhone 17 lineup.
