The update focuses on key improvements, adding features like LOG video recording and an improved camera interface for an enhanced experience

Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 7 update in South Korea for the Galaxy S24 series and other compatible devices. The update focuses on camera improvements, adding features like LOG video recording. Other features include Motion Photos, 10-bit HDR video, and AI-powered custom filters for enhanced photography and video capturing experience.
The company began sharing the new updates through its community forum. The company shared several features including camera-focused enhancements, including support for LOG video recording at the forum.
A major highlight in this update remains the LOG video recording features. Samsung Galaxy S24 series is now equipped with this feature, offering a flat, desaturated look with a wide dynamic range. The move is expected to attract both casual and professional photographers. It preserves details in both shadows and highlights, allowing greater editing flexibility, and boosting the creative control for the user.
To use LOG video recording, users will need to enable it in the Advanced Video menu within camera settings. Additionally, Samsung is offering a 'shoot assist' feature in the update, which will help the users to keep a track of exposure levels when shooting in pro video mode. This exposure monitor feature will offer more control and precision for high-quality video recording.
Another highlight of the update is Samsung’s AI-powered custom filters, which are designed to adapt to the environment and enhance photos automatically. This smart feature aims to attract users by delivering vibrant, polished results with minimal effort.
Finally, the Motion Photos feature by Samsung is meant to compete with Apple’s Live Photos feature. It works by capturing a 1.5-second video before and after one takes a photo. This will help the photos appear dynamic and alive.
The users will also feel at ease with the new camera interface, designed for a more streamlined experience. Features like audio eraser, multi-mask, and auto trim are some of the new improvements that will certainly impress photography enthusiasts.
Samsung is expected to complete the UI 7 Updates, based on Android 15, by the end of June 2025 for all eligible devices.
