Samsung Revives Iconic ‘Edge’ Lineup With Galaxy S25 Edge: Check Features, Specifications, Price
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge combines an ultra-slim design with flagship-grade features, offering a stylish yet powerful alternative in the premium smartphone segment.
Samsung has revived its iconic ‘Edge’ branding with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge. The new smartphone comes with an ultra-light design and flagship-level performance. Nearly a decade since the last device in the Edge series, this release reimagines the premium smartphone experience for users seeking style and substance.
Ultra-Slim Build With Premium Finish
Measuring just 5.8mm in thickness and weighing 163 grams, the Galaxy S25 Edge stands out as one of Samsung’s slimmest and lightest smartphones to date. In contrast, the Galaxy S25+ comes in at 7.3mm and 190 grams, highlighting the Edge’s compact form.
According to reports, the device is available in Titanium Silver and Titanium Jetblack. It features Samsung’s new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 that offers improved durability and better scratch resistance, the company claims.
Display
Despite its ultra-thin profile, the S25 Edge features an expansive 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The screen has a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120 pixels), supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 2600 nits of brightness.
Specifications
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor — the same silicon used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Whether you opt for the 256GB or 512GB storage variant, both versions are backed by 12GB of RAM, ensuring a smooth and lag-free experience. On-device AI processing is another highlight, improving functionality while maintaining data security through Samsung Knox Vault.
Impressive Camera, Modest Battery
Photography enthusiasts will find a capable setup on the S25 Edge, which sports a dual-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor. A 12MP front-facing camera caters to selfie and video call needs. While the setup is impressive, users seeking more advanced zoom and flexibility may still gravitate towards the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
However, the S25 Edge’s streamlined body comes with a compromise — a 3900mAh battery. This may not suffice for heavy users. For comparison, the S25 Ultra houses a stronger 5000mAh unit. Still, the trade-off might be worthwhile for those prioritising portability and aesthetics.
Price
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t come cheap, with prices starting at Rs 1,09,999. Yet for those seeking a fresh departure from the routine design language dominating the smartphone landscape, this sleek newcomer may be just the innovation they've been waiting for.
